Carroll Lake
lies nestled in the southern reaches
of the city off Highway 22 (the Jim
Alexander Highway). The beautiful,
100-acre lake offers the serenity of
nature close to home. Classified as a
family fishing lake by the TWRA
(Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency),
the lake offers good fishing as well as
picnicing and light hiking. Carroll
Lake is the site of Steve McCadams'
annual
Casting For a Cure kids' fishing
rodeo. Proceeds from the event benefit
the American Cancer Society.
