Veterans Day
is made more special when it is
embraced by the community, and our
community appreciates our service men
and women more than most. You see, our
own soldiers served recently in Iraq and
in previous wars throughout our nation's
history. Many gave their lives for our
freedoms, including, most recently,
Dusty Carroll. We recognize the
sacrifices every one of our veterans
made for their fellow men and women.
Leading the way in our community are our
children, as each school invites
veterans to special programs held in
auditoriums in the elementary, middle
and high schools honoring them. To them
we say "thank you."
